Aims : by the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
- know the uses and meaning of both PTS and PTC;
- use the regular and irregular verbs;
- recognize and use the tenses in sentences;
ACTIVITY 1: WARM-UP
Aim: - : to increase the SS’ interest in the use of Present Simple and Continuous to get SS
involved into the topic;
ACTIVITY 2: PRACTICE
Aim: - to practise on the use of Present Simple and Continuous with their time adverbials.

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
T asks SS to tell what they usually do during a day. SS answer the T-S, S-T
question while T writes on the blackboard some of their answers. T Writing 10 min
asks whether they are doing something different today. Several SS Individual
answer and T also writes their answers on the blackboard. Starting Frontal
from their answers on the blackboard, T elicits the rules to form the
affirmative, negative and interrogative forms of Present Simple and
Continuous.
ACTIVITY 3: FEED-BACK
Aim: to practise the use of Present Simple and Continuous
ACTIVITY 4: PRACTICE
Aim: to give SS feedback on the grammatical structures taught.
