Performance criteria of cellular system:

performance criteria of cellular system by the following parameters:

1. Voice Quality:a set value x at which y percent of customers rate the system
voice quality (from transmitter
to receiver) as good or excellent, the top two circuit merits (CM) of the five
listed below.

CM score 5: Excellent Quality scale

CM score 4: Good Quality scale
CM score 3: fair Quality scale
CM score 2: Poor Quality scale
CM score 1: Unsatisfactory Quality scale

2.Service Quality
 1. Coverage: The system should serve an area as large as possible. The transmitted
power would have to be very
high to illuminate weak spots with sufficient reception, a significant added cost
factor.
 2. Grade of service: In a busy hour of cellular mobile communication GoS for
blocking probability is 0.02 for initiating calls
which is mean value and should be more less by providing sufficient no of
radio channels
 3. Number of dropped calls: No of dropped calls in a system must be very small
because it reflects that the
system is effecient in handling calls in its zone. If there are 'N' calls in
an hour and One dropped cals then
call drop rate = 1/N
A high drop rate could be caused by either coverage problems or handoff
problems related to inadequate
channel availability.

3. Special Features:
Call forwarding
Call Waiting
Voice stored Box
Naviagtion services
