SIKAGARD® 703 W
Water-repellent product in the aqueous phase for facades

Description
SIKAGARD 703 W is a ready-for-use milky white liquid based on silane/siloxane

General characteristics
• Product in the aqueous phase with a high water-repellent power.
• Improves the facade resistance to the ingress of surface waters.
• Invisible treatment that does not modify the aspect of the substrate.
• Improves the resistance to dirtying, and reduces the bonding of fungi, lichens, .
• Air-permeable: allow the substrate to “breathe”.
• Does not modify the porosity of the substrates.
• Can be covered with various paints.

Applications
• Making facades water-repellent.
• Protection of building materials against surface waters. SIKAGARD 703 W is applied on
rough substrates: concrete, mortar, masonry, stone, brick, asbestos-cement,

Ph and Ch characteristics
• Density: about 1.
• Non flammable.
• pH: 8 to 10.

Packaging
• 2, 5 and 10-l cans.
• 30-l small drum.

Storage and shelf-life

The product must be stored away from freezing at a temperature ranging from + 5°C to + 40°C.
When frozen, the product cannot be recovered.
In an unopened packaging SIKAGARD 703 W has a one-year shelf-life.

Consumption
It depends on the substrate porosity:
• on concrete and mortar: 150 to 200 g/m≤.
• on brick and stone, the consumption ranges from 300 to 500 g/m≤ depending on the
substrate porosity.A preliminary test is required for determining the exact consumption.

Instructions
Conditions for use
The minimum application temperature (product, room and substrate) must range from + 5°C
to + 35°C.

Implements
• Spray gun.
• Brush.
• Roller.

Substrate preparation.
• The substrate can be slightly wet.
• All hydraulic binder-based substrates (mortar, concrete, .) must be at least 7days old.
• The surfaces must be clean and free of lichens, fungi.
• Protect the glazed panels and woodwork.

Application
• Shake SIKAGARD 703 W before application.
• Apply a single layer of SIKAGARD 703 W in an upward direction, avoiding the runs.
The product efficiency is at its maximum after a few days whatever the nature of the
substrate.

Protection after application

The surface treated must be protected from the rain while SIKAGARD 703 W is drying (for
a few hours depending on weather conditions).

Important considerations
The water-repellent function is not efficient on substrate cracks.
