1. General

This specification gives the general technical requirements concerning the design, manufacture
and erection of antenna support structures (self supporting lattice towers, guyed lattice masts and
self supporting tubular monopoles). This document will be used in connection and completed with
a project specific document “Design Basis”. Additional requirements can be specified also
elsewhere in the tender documents or delivery contract.

The delivery will normally include detailed instructions for the manufacture, tolerances, erection
etc. These instructions will be made by the designer and they are specific for the structure types
and materials to be delivered.

This document does not concern the foundations or antenna systems. It concerns only the steel
structure itself, its components, structural equipment and accessories such as ladders, platforms,
earthing, obstruction lights etc.

2. Standards

The latest editions of the standards, codes of practice and publications listed below are applied to
the steel works:
