Position: Transformation Manager


Location: To be determined
Salary: Competitive, dependent upon experience
Accountable to: To be determined

Hours: 40 hours per week in local time zone. In addition, the post holder will be
expected to adopt a flexible working policy to work alongside Office Bearers and
Heads of Departments if need be.

Purpose of the role:

The Transformation Manager leads a working group to implement the approved recommendation
contained within the Project North Star report. The Transformation Manager will work with the
Transformation Steering Committee (TSC) and collaboratively with the Regional Federations to
develop and execute an implementation plan, The Manager will utilize change management
principles, processes, and tools to focus on driving operational and financial results for The
World Federation.
Position Requirements:
• Commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of The World Federation.

• Educated to degree level, Project Management qualification is preferred.

• Substantial experience of leading business transformation programmes and project


management in private, public or third sectors.

• Sound working knowledge of general business processes and organisational structures.

• Evidence of successful delivery of change programmes that have achieved the objectives within
the defined timeline and budget.

• Experience in complex multi-level stakeholder engagement.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information at all
levels.

• Fluent in English; knowledge of other cultural languages such Gujarati, Kutchi, Kiswahili, Urdu
would be advantageous.

• Experience in working/volunteering for a Non-Profit organization is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a working group formed from The World Federation and the regions to design and deliver
the transformation programme consisting of all approved recommendations from Project North
Star.

• Develop a detailed implementation plan outlining dependencies, resource requirements and the
critical path.

• Co-ordinate activities with all committees within the organisation and with Jamaat
representatives where required.

• Become familiar with the setup of Regional Federations, their particular needs and local
idiosyncrasies that need to be addressed; as well as local laws that may hamper or impede the
Transformation process, and coordinate with Regional Federations to understand and respond to
any concerns, fears or reservations.

• Identify key risks and issues and develop a mitigation plan to address them.

• Design change strategy, assess stakeholder impacts and organizational readiness, recommend
and/or implement appropriate communication, training, and behavioural change solutions for
effective implementation of the process under the guidance of TSC.

• Deliver the programme successfully as per the timeline and budget agreed by the Executive
Council.
• Regularly update Steering Committee, Executive Council and other important stakeholders with
the progress, risks and issues.

• Lead quarterly video conference meetings with Jamaats and grassroots on the transformation.

These represent a definition of the main function and requirements for this position but are not an
exhaustive list of duties. The post holder will be required, in addition, to perform any other duties
that might reasonably be considered a responsibility of the post.
