Pre‑Work 
 
Thank you for your par cipa on in the first round of the applica on process and congratula ons 
for advancing to the second round!  
 
As Program Lead for designing and launching Punjab Youth Leadership Program, you will be 
required to detail out the structure of the program, cul vate partnerships with various 
stakeholders and lead outreach for selec ng the fellows. This pre‑work is for us to know your 
competencies in these domains. We are not just seeking informa on but also deeper insights. 
For the ques ons below, we are looking for specificity, not length. (word limit is only sugges ve) 
 
 
Program Design 
 
1) Tell us about an experience where you played a significant role in se ng the vision and 
design of a program. It could be work you have done in any formal or informal capacity. 
Do share ideas about your approach and outcomes as well.  (200 words) 
 
 
2) Pick up one challenging problem in the socio‑economic development domain in Punjab 
which you think can be solved by engaging young leaders there. Provide a  simple and 
detailed  design of how you think the program can look like. The challenges and risks that 
you see in the approach, and how will you cover for them in the design itself.  What will 
be the defini on of success and what parameters and metrics you will use. What 
incen ves you think will work to drive a par cular behaviour? (1‑2 page) 
 
 
Partnerships 
 
1) Think about all the partnerships that your program will be required to have and prepare 
a pitch deck to onboard the most cri cal partner for the success of the program. You can 
choose a partner which you think is most important.  (3 slides) 
 
 2) Share an experience in which you brought together people, teams or organisa ons with 
differing (or maybe conflic ng) priori es. What was the context? What was your 
approach? What challenges you faced and how did you overcome them?  (200 words) 
 
 
Outreach 
 
1) Imagine that you have unlimited budget to get the best people on board to execute the 
program you have designed. Who will you bring in and why? What would your approach 
be if there is no budget for outreach. Provide concrete and detailed steps for both.  (300 
words) 
 
2) Leveraging an exis ng network in Punjab will be an important way to reach out to both 
partners and candidates. Are you aware of any exis ng networks which you an leverage? 
Do a small research and map the poten al ways of reaching out to the exis ng 
organisa ons/individuals who are already doing some good work in the region.  (300 
words)
