Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION

1.1) Introduction
 The "School Management System" has been developed to override the
problems prevailing in the practicing manual system. Moreover this system is
designed for the particular need of the School to carry out operations in a
smooth and effective manner.
 The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while entering
the data. It also provides error message while entering invalid data.
 No formal knowledge is needed for the user to use this system.
 Every organization, whether big or small, has challenges to overcome and
managing the informations of Students, Schools, Teachers, Registrations and
Courses. Every School Management System has different Schools needs
 This designed will help you ensure that your organization is equipped with the
right level of information and details for your future goals.

1.2) Abstract / Objective

 The purpose of School Management System is to automate the existing manual
system by the help of computerized equipments and full-fledged computer
software, fulfilling their requirements, so that their valuable data/information can
be stored for a longer period with easy accessing and manipulation of the same.
 The required software and hardware are easily available and easy to work with
and are specified in requirement.
 School Management System, as described above, can lead to error free, secure,
reliable and fast management system.

 It can assist the user to concentrate on their other activities rather to concentrate
on the record keeping. Thus it will help organization in better utilization of
resources.
 The organization can maintain computerized records without redundant entries.
That means that one need not be distracted by information that is not relevant,
while being able to reach the information.
 The aim is to automate its existing manual system by the help of computerized
equipments and full-fledged computer software, fulfilling their requirements, so
that their valuable data/information can be stored for a longer period with easy
accessing and manipulation of the same.
 The main objective of the Project on School Management System is to manage
the details of Schools, Students, Classes, Teachers and Courses.
 It manages all the information about Schools, Registrations, Courses, and
Schools.
 The project is totally built at administrative end and thus only the administrator is
guaranteed the access. It tracks all the details about the Classes, Teachers, and
Courses.

Chapter 2 Literature Survey

2.1) Existing System

In the current system we need to keep a number of records related to the
student and want to enter the details of the student and the marks manually. In
this system only the teacher or the school authority views the mark of the
student and they want to enter the details of the student. This is time consuming
and has much cost.
Teachers may want to associate a student with his parent or emergency
persons for disciplinary measures which need searching of the students record
in the record office. It has been difficult to search a record from thousands of

such records and observed that students can take any person claiming that
he/she is their parent or emergency person which creates problem in control of
students.

2.2) Proposed System

In our proposed system we have provided searching facilities based on
various factors. Such as schools, classes, Teachers, and Courses. This system
also manages Registration details online for Teacher details, Courses details,
and school. Tracks the information of Students, Registration, Teachers etc.
Manages the information of schools. Editing, adding and updating of
records is improved which results in proper resource management of schools
data. Provides details of integration of all record of Student, Teachers etc.
