Start By:

a. Remove the piston pump (main hydraulic).

1. Remove adapter (1), the O-ring seal, fitting (4), and the O-ring seal.

2. Remove bolts (5) and compensator valve (2) from main drive pump housing (6).

3. Remove valve group (4) from main drive pump housing (6).

4. Remove O-ring seals (7) and O-ring seal (8) from valve group (4).

Sudden release of spring force can cause injury.

To prevent the possibility of injury, follow the procedure to relieve the

spring pressure.

5. Remove gasket (9) from compensator valve (5).

6. Remove plug (15), O-ring seal (14), spring (13), spring (12), guide (11), and spool (10) from
compensator valve (5).

7. Remove plug (21), O-ring seal (20), spring (19), spring (18), guide (17), and spool (16) from
compensator valve (5).

8. Remove plug (24) and the O-ring seal.

9. Remove bolts (23) and head assembly (22).

10. Remove O-ring seal (25) and port plate (26) from head assembly (22).

11. Remove bearing cup (27) from head assembly (22) if necessary.

12. Remove bearing cone (28), O-ring seals (29), and shim (30).

13. Carefully place main drive pump housing (6) in a horizontal position.

14. Remove rotary group (31) from main drive pump housing (6).

Note: Rotary group (31) is not serviced separately.

15. Remove swashplate (32) from main drive pump housing (6).

16. Remove shaft assembly (33) and spring (34).

17. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to remove bearing cone (35) from shaft assembly (33).

18. Remove screws (36) and bearings (37).

19. Remove bearing cup (38) if necessary.

20. Remove retaining ring (39) and shaft seal (40) from main drive pump housing (6).
