Strengths Needs improvement


 Gives sts a time limit for the activity.  TR seems very authoritative and not happy to

Professionalism:  Teacher shouted at the students to get them calmed down.
 Teacher came to the class on time but had to wait for one class to
leave.
Planning for learning:  The lesson had a plan.

Monitoring and  The teacher does not seem aware of some of the students and

 This class is a very active class, they have behavior issues. 10 minutes into the lesson, the students
were still settling. SUGGESTION: Use a starting problem on the board to both settle the students and
assess knowledge.
 New vocabulary was presented today but there was no testing of prior knowledge and the focus
seemed to be on the reading of the words instead of the meaning and how they can be used in
math.
 At one point the tr moved away from the front of the room and the sts immedietly calmed down.
 One st was busy all through the lesson, teacher finally came and removed some of the objects she
was playing with, but it did not improve her attention. ( Sulaima)
 Students were all given problems to solve. The work was differentiated but all of the students took a
long time to solve. One of the problems was that too many sts were working on a single problem,
another issue was that the sts are not used to working this way.
