Cobra 148 GTL-DX [PB-010] Modification To Final Transistor

Required Parts:
1 ERF-2030
1 EN-369FN
1 470pF ceramic disc capacitor
1 33K 1/4 watt resistor

1) Remove L47
2) Remove R263
3) Remove C199
4) Remove TR44 and replace with ERF-2030.
Note: ERF-2030 mounts identically to TR44. Make sure to use all the same hardware, insulator, thermal grease, etc.

5) Add C1E 470pF ceramic disc capacitor across C204
6) Install EN-369FN (on solder side of PCB). Solder the positive lead (+) to the ERF-2030 gate. Solder the negative lead (unmarked) to the ERF-2030 source.
8) Add R1E 33K resistor (1/4 watt) from ERF-2030 gate leg to hot end of R265
Note: You may need to change C204 to 1n, you will not need C1E. Keep the power down to about 20 watts.
