FEATURED HAZMAT: Toxic Gases (Chlorine & Hydrogen Chloride);


Corrosive Liquids (Hydrochloric Acid & Caustic Soda) & Flammable

CLASSROOM SESSIONS:
Railroad 101: Learn about railroad operations, hazards and Hazmat Safety & Emergency Response: Learn about the
safety rules. Rail hazmat safety and emergency response physical and chemical properties of toxic gases (chlorine &
procedures are reviewed. hydrogen chloride); corrosive liquids (hydrochloric acid &
caustic soda) and flammable gases (vinyl chloride).
Transportation methods, health effects of acute exposure,
proper selection of personal protective equipment, first aid,
and medical treatment measures are reviewed.

FIELD EXERCISES:
Understanding Tank Cars: Learn about the anatomy of Midland ERK Workshop: Learn about potential leak scenarios
