malioboro, it’s about 10 km and takes around 30 – 40 minutes to go there.

eastern Indonesian time. And because Yogyakarta included western Indonesian time or GMT

Guide: alright, before we start our tour. I’d like to tell you about your program. According to
your program, today we just transfer in and check in hotel. after that you have free program.
You can spend your time by walking around hotel or enjoy some hotel facilities. And for
tomorrow morning we will go to sultan palace, it takes around 10 minutes to go there from
your hotel because the distance is about 3 km. sultan palace is the place where the sultan and
the royal family live. And we will spend an hour there. After that we will go to Taman Sari
Water Castle. It’s the side of former royal garden of sultanate of yogyakarta. it takes about
ten minutes to go there from the sultan palace. The distance is about 1 km and we will spend
an hour there. After that we will go to the local restaurant for having lunch. After having
lunch we go to prambanan temple. This temple is the most beautiful hindust temple in
southeast Asia. The distance is about 17 km from Taman Sari to get there so it will take about
1 hour. We will spend 1 hour a half in there. On the second day we will check out and after
that we will go to Borobudur Temple. It the one of the 7 wonders in the world and its biggest
Budhist Temple in Indonesia. And after that we will transit out. Any question sir?

you to know more about Yogyakarta.Yogyakarta is from Javanese language
Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat.Ngayogyakarta derived from Hayu, Bagyo, Karta. Hayu
means Beauty , Bagyo means Happy, and Karta means prosperous. And Hadiningrat
derived from Hadi, ning, and rat. Hadi means human, Ning means at or in and rat
means world.Yogyakarta are well known as student city, Batik city, gudeg city,
culture city, and tourism city. Any question sir?

Guide : Yogyakarta are well known as student city and gudeg city Because in Yogyakarta
there is the oldest university in Indonesia named Gadjah Mada University and also so many
students from all around Indonesia

Guide: let me continue my explanation sir about the total area of this province is 3000 km
square, and total population is about 3, 5 million people according to the last information I
have. And about the total area of this city is 32 km square, and total population is about
400.000 people. Yogyakarta has 4 regencies and 1 city. There are Sleman on the north side,
Kulon Progo on the west side , Bantul on the south side, Gunung Kidul on the south east side
and the city is Yogyakarta on the middle of 4 regencies.

south there was Parangtritis Beach is part of hindian ocean (bantul) and on the
southeast we can see sewu hills (gunung kidul). About language sir, we use Javanese
and Indonesian language, for our daily we use javanese for exmple when we meet
friend with the same old, and when we working, we doing social media we use
Indonesian language. In Yogyakarta, there are 2 season rainy and dry season, so right
now is rainy season from oct-march. Yogyakarta has many tourism facilities, like a
hotel, restaurant, art shop, money changer, shopping center, airport, railway station,
tourist agencies, tourist attraction. There are some souvenirs from jogja among others
batik, silver, and bakpia.”

Guide : you can find batik at tirtodipuran street, for silver you can find it in Kota Gede area,
