SIGNIFICANCE/ IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY:

The refiling of several legislations on the establishment of the national identification system in the
Philippines may cause ___ to the people.

Therefore, the main goal of this study is to review, analyze, and summarize the various proposed
legislations on its establishment. This study, may primarily be beneficial to the following:

Filipino citizens. This study may aid and serve them in understanding the purpose, advantages and
disadvantages of the proposed legislations. It may also guide them in pointing out the commonalities,
and differences between the proposed legislations. Also, this study may inform them of their rights and
responsibilities in obtaining a national identification card.

Law students. This study may encourage them to analyze proposed legislations, especially when there
are more than 2 proposed legislations but has the same purpose. Also, this study may be of easier
reference for their future encounter with the legislations.

Future Researchers. This study may encourage them to conduct analysis on other various proposed
legislations.

This study will nevertheless highlight the importance of implementing a National Identification System in
the Philippines and its effects to the Filipino people worldwide.
