EASY GUIDELINES ON HOW TO WRITE YOUR SESSION ABSTRACT

90 minute Presentations

1. Compose a compelling, informative, yet concise title for your workshop

2. Write your name, degree if applicable, title, and company name exactly as you would like it to appear in the
brochure
3. Compose an outline of 3-4 sections, including 1 section on an “interactive activity” in which the audience will
actively participate
4. Write a heading for each section of the outline, use “how to” and action words where applicable
5. Write 5-7 bullet points for each section; include how the attendee will benefit and what the attendee will
learn
6. For the “interactive activity” section, do not include bullet points, but instead include a short paragraph
describing the “interactive activity”
7. List tangible bonus information you will be able to give the attendee (see below for examples)

SESSION EXAMPLE:
Development and Validation of Analytical Test Methods for Cleaning Samples
I. Selecting a Sampling Procedure
 When rinse method is applied
 What solvent to select and how that affects your analysis
 When swabbing method is applied
 Learn importance of swabs selection based on your method
II. Developing and Validating Analytical Methods – Keeping it Simple
 Selecting a residue detection method
 Setting residue limit acceptance criteria
 Modifying your release method for analysis of cleaning samples
 Is validation of cleaning analytical method different from API testing?
 Conducting and validating recovery studies from different surfaces
 How to check if method validation is required for new products
III. Interactive Exercise
Using a real life example, participants study how to develop specific HPLC method for API cleaning samples
and write a validation protocol.
