Job description

Project Engineering at EMC offers the opportunity to work as part of a leading organization that
offers on-going training, development and career growth advancement.

This role includes responsibility for directing all engineering aspects of safety related pump and
motor aftermarket repairs performed at EMC. An EMC Project Engineer is responsible for
ensuring repairs performed meet customer purchase order and specification requirements, as well
as all industry related codes plus the opportunity to work on additional projects that are for non-
safety related applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Review of customer specifications for compliance with production plans, work


instructions, and drawings.
 Preparation and release of design drawings and procedures
 Preparation and review of Technical Evaluations for commercial grade dedication
 Preparation and review of dedication packages for commercial grade dedication
 Interpretation of applicable customer specifications
 Familiarity with industry codes / standards (ASME BPVC, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, IEEE,
ISO, NEMA, etc.)
 Knowledgeable on EPRI Guidelines for commercial nuclear customers
 Working directly with EMC Project Managers
 Disposition of non-conformances (use as is, repair, or replace) in a timely manner
 Resolution of assembly, manufacture, repair and test problems
 Provide technical support for Project Manager’s customers as required
 Additional responsibilities as assigned by Engineering Supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

 A minimum of 3 years proven work experience in a related field


 Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (preferred but not
essential)
 Strong analytical, decision making and communication skills
 Knowledge of pump and motors, and their components within
 Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and
Solidworks

EDUCATION / TRAINING:

 Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering


 Commercial Grade Dedication training administered by GQA (Global Quality
Assurance)
 Solidworks
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control
regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export
