o Work with individuals, organizations and local community groups for strategic planning, communications,
community development, non-profit management, training and facilitation, resource development, and
event management for building connections and community.

This event is now institutionalized for all students, staff and faculty for a sense of community on and off
campus. In 2014, during the 8th annual day of service, 529 volunteers served 30 community organizations for
an average of 3 hours and 1,587 combined hours of service. Recognized by the President’s Higher Education
Community Service Honor Roll for Emory University.
o Engaged local businesses and university partners to support service initiatives. Fundraised approximately
$10,000 each year in monetary and in-kind donations to diffuse the cost of transportation and other
resources. Mobilized returning students, current staff and faculty to provide site leadership.
Health Education
o Directed personal health course required for all undergraduate students at Emory University. Coordinated
faculty and 3 lectures each week for approximately 600 students per semester. Supervised 10 Teaching
Assistants to lead 21 discussion-based labs. Managed all recruitment, training and professional development.
o Conducted extensive quantitative and qualitative evaluations each semester to measure success and
satisfaction of the course among participating students, teaching assistants and university partners.
