YEAR LONG RESIDENCY
· I spent the fall 2017 semester at Sioux Valley Schools in the high school science classroom. My mentor
teacher and I collaborated and co-taught in many classes, including Biology, Chemistry, and Earth-
Space Science. My spring semester is being spent in the Colman-Egan School District in 6-12 sciences,
with a focus on middle school. I have learned how to maintain a positive classroom environment with a
growth mindset and have developed meaningful relationships with students. I have attended
professional development sessions, in-services, staff meetings, and conferences through this
experience.

Experience
DATA ENTRY ASSISTANT | DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY | JANUARY 2016 – MAY 2017
· I worked closely with the registrar to load students’ transfer courses and course equivalencies,
communicate with transcript evaluators and supervisors, prepare for graduation, and perform
independent and group tasks. This position allowed me to learn what happens behind the scenes
between colleges about their courses and give insight to students who may be unsure how they want to
pursue further education.

· This position allowed me to care for senior residents and help them perform daily tasks, comfort
families, and communicate with staff and family members. I enjoyed building relationships with my

· I have attended this training twice (fall 2016 and fall 2017) to learn about the signs that someone is
considering suicide and how to help them.

· This conference for math and science teachers was incredibly enriching and provided many resources
for me to use in my own classroom.

HEALTHY YOUTH SEMINAR


· I presented at this seminar with a group of DSU students in the fall of 2016 to teach high school
students about classroom management techniques they could use while teaching younger students
about healthy choices.

NOBEL CONFERENCE 50
· I attended this conference in Minnesota in the fall of 2014 to see where current science is taking us and
the latest research in many fields of science.
