 INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By submitting an application for RAVEN TRIBE, the applicant agrees to the following the terms and
conditions. Membership is only valid for applicants who accept these terms without alteration.

1) In effort to promote a professional image of RAVEN TRIBE, I will conduct myself professionally so as to
reflect positively on myself, my school, and RAVEN TRIBE. While wearing RAVEN TRIBE’s
apparel/accessories (sweatshirts, patches, etc.), discussing my affiliation with RAVEN TRIBE, and
attending any function, I will maintain behavior consistent with that of a professional.

2) At times, RAVEN TRIBE publications may provide names, addresses, and other information about
fellow members. Contact is only permitted between members if there is: a) Mutual consent to the
discussion; b) No intent to solicit or offer goods and services for a fee; c) No intent to discredit another
RAVEN TRIBE member, interfere with another member’s method of instruction, or lure students from
another RAVEN TRIBE school.

3) In case of disagreement between RAVEN TRIBE members, it is understood that the offended party must
first privately address the offender to seek restitution for any wrongdoing. If not resolved satisfactorily,
the matter should be brought to RAVEN TRIBE staff for discussion. A proposed resolution will be
provided by RAVEN TRIBE, to which the two parties must comply. Non-compliance may be cause for
termination of membership for one or both parties, as deemed appropriate by RAVEN TRIBE. If the root
of the problem is found to be inappropriate criminal behavior, immediate termination will be exercised
without refund of membership fees.

4) RAVEN TRIBE reserves the right to refuse or terminate membership to anyone based on what the staff
defines as “irreconcilable differences”. If the personal beliefs of an applicant are considered by the staff
as inappropriate and problematic, membership may be refused without recourse or reconsideration as it
is not in the interest of either party to pursue the relationship.

5) Any injury resulting from my participation in martial arts is in no way the fault of RAVEN TRIBE;
therefore, RAVEN TRIBE is not responsible for any injury suffered by my training in the arts. By
submitting my application for membership, I waive my right to legal recourse for any damages (liquid or
otherwise) caused by such an injury.

6) In submitting this application the applicant affirms that they have not been convicted of any violent or
predatory crime. Individuals convicted of violent crimes are not eligible for membership without prior
approval. Individuals convicted of predatory crimes are barred from membership. (In the event that an
applicant has been convicted of a violent crime they may petition for further membership consideration
to the senior council via a different application process. Contact main office for further details.)

7) In submitting this application the applicant affirms that they will not discriminate against any member or
prospective member based on gender, race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, political
orientation, age or disability.

8) In submitting this application the applicant affirms that they do not belong to any “Hate” group, criminal
organization or terrorist group as defined by any part of the United States Criminal Justice System.
Members who are discovered to belong to any such group will be barred from membership immediately.
