Skiles Classroom Newsletter


Hi Everyone,

I am sending this newsletter out to inform parents and students on what to expect in my
classroom. Below I have my class rules and expectations, class calendar, supply list for students,
test and tips, and a fun activity everyone can engage in at home.

Class rules/Expectations:

 Appropriate class attire:


athletic shoes, athletic shorts
(appropriate length) or
sweatpants, t-shirt or
sweatshirt.
 No food allowed. Water is
acceptable.
 Be on time.
 Have a positive attitude and
good sportsmanship in
activities.
About Me:
 Treat peers with respect.
Welcome to my physical education class. I am
Bittney Skiles and I graduated from Columbus State
University where I received my bachelors in exercise Class Calendar:
science. I was also a collegiate cross country and
track&field athlete all four years at Columbus State. August 10th first day of school
I then went on to coach cross country at the
collegiate level at Georgia Southwestern State September 3rd Labor Day
University for four years and I received my
bachelors in health and physical education. I grew October 12th End of Quarter 1 (first
up being active with my family and have always fitness exam)
lived a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and
diet. I enjoy anything that involves nutrition, health, November 11th Veterans Day
and getting people active. I look forward to
educating my students on the importance of health November 22 Thanksgiving Day
and inspiring them to live an active lifestyle through
the health- related fitness components. November 21st-23rd Thanksgiving

Active Family Fun Activity:

A road race is a fun activity that the


family can do regardless of physical
activity level. It is a great form of
Standardized test:
aerobic exercise! People entered can
FITNESSGRAM Test run or walk. Overall and age group
winners receive awards. Road races
This test measures: consist of a variety of distances
ranging from the one mile fun run to a

marathon. Road races are also a great

community and to develop new

Test Taking Tips:

Make sure to be hydrated, eat a well-


balanced breakfast, and get a good
night sleep.
