D & L Oil Tools provides down-hole tools
to both the domestic and international
markets. We are located in Tulsa, Okla-
homa, with 10 acres and 80,000 square
feet in manufacturing space.
Many of our current key employees

began their careers at Arrow Oil Tools, a
company founded over 50 years ago by
the family of D & L’s owner. We continue

ASI-X Packer
The D&L ASI-X Packer is the most differential pressures up to 10,000 PSI.

VSI-X Packer
The D&L VSI-X Single String Double- The VSI-X Packer converts to a

DLH Packer
The D&L DLH Packer is a hydraulic- Special Features
set single-string retrievable packer and
u Adjustable setting initiation pressure
may be used in virtually any production
application. Tubing pump pressure is u Adjustable shear release
used to set the packer and the setting u Straight pull release
force is locked into the packer by a
body lock ring. A large internal by-pass
reduces swabbing when running and
retrieving. The by-pass closes when
the packer is set, and opens during the
releasing process to allow pressure
equalization. Shear screws are used
to control the packer release. The
standard DLH Packers are designed for
differential pressures up to 7,500 PSI.

Hydroset II Packer
The D&L Hydroset II Packer is a
hydraulic set, mechanically held dual
string production packer run above a
single string hydraulic set or wireline set
seal bore packer. Its short length makes
it ideal for deviated wells or doglegs.
Because no tubing manipulation is
required to set this packer, the well head
can be installed and flanged up before
setting. It is available with short string
or long string setting capabilities and
a variety of tubing connections. It is
also adaptable for submersible pump
applications. The Hydroset II features
a sequential upper slip release system
designed to release each slip individually
reducing the pull required to release the
packer. Due to the angles on the upper
slips and upper slip cage, slips release
smoothly from the casing.

Seal Unit
The D&L Standard Seal Units are
furnished with bonded nitrile rings and a
12-inch make-up length. These units may
be ordered in various lengths and with
severe service seal rings for high tem-
perature and corrosive environmental
conditions.
Snap Latch Assembly

The D&L Snap Latch Seal Assembly
latches into the packer upon set down (like
our Anchor Latch Seal Assembly). It can
be removed with straight pull of 10,000
to 12,000 lbs. above tubing weight. The
Snap Latch Seal Assembly is used where a
mechanical indication is required to verify
the seal assembly is properly positioned in
the packer bore.
Anchor Latch Assembly

The D&L Anchor Latch Seal Assembly is
used when floating seals are not required.
This assembly allows the tubing string to
be in tension or compression. Upon set
down the anchor latches into the packer
and can be removed with eight to ten
right-hand turns.
Locator Seal Assembly

The D&L Locator Seal Assembly is
used in installations which require float-
ing seals. Once landed, the seal locator
prevents downward movement of the
tubing while allowing the seal to move
with tubing contraction.

Type T Squeeze Packer

The D&L Type T Squeeze Packer is a Special Features
tension set packer that holds pressure
u Holds pressure from above or below
from above or below. The tool can be
set at any depth and is used when u Safety release allows circulation

The Type T Squeeze Packer emergency

release system incorporates a left-hand,
high-ratio thread. Applying right-hand
torque relaxes the packing element and
moves the lower cone away from the
slips enabling them to retract.

AS Retrievable Bridge Plug

The D&L AS Retrievable Bridge Plug
is a high pressure plug for multiple zone
and selective single zone operations
such as acidizing, fracturing, cementing
and testing. It features a large internal
by-pass to reduce swabbing when run-
ning and retrieving. The by-pass valve
closes when the plug is set.
When unsetting, the by-pass valve

opens before releasing the upper slips to
allow pressure equalization. The by-pass
is located directly below the upper slips
to help wash debris when the by-pass is
open. This tool can be set shallow in
unsupported casing to contain pressure
while working on wellhead equipment.
