Combi 200

Longitunally welded Combi 200 tubes of circular cross section are suitable for many kinds
of products and applications, where the tube is required to have good engineering properties
in fabrication but high strength is not of the essence. Thanks to low yield strength and high
elongation, Combi 200 tubes are well-suited for cold forming. Low contents of silicon, sulphur
and phosphorus ensure good weldability and suitability for hot-dip galvanising.

Combi 200 tubes are manufactured from Ruukki’s
aluminium-killed hot rolled steel. Combi 200 tubes are
characterised by uniform quality and dimensional
accuracy. The dimensional tolerances guaranteed to
Combi 200 tubes by Ruukki are presented in Table 1,
the mechanical properties in Table 2 and chemical
composition in Table 3.
• Product form and dimensions
Ruukki’s Combi 200 tubes are of circular cross section.
The dimensions produced are presented in Table 4.
• Welding
Thanks to low contents of carbon, phosphorus and
sulphur, together with the low carbon equivalent,
Combi 200 are easily weldable with all standard
welding methods.
• Hot-dip galvanising
To guarantee good suitability for hot-dip galvanising,
the silicon and phosphorus contents (Si + P ≤ 0.04 %)
are guaranteed. Proper hot-dip galvanising will give the
tubes a bright zinc coating of with a thickness of less
than 100 μm and good adhesion properties.
• Bending
Combi 200 tubes are well suited for cold forming.
Greater wall thicknesses are recommended for tubes
to be bent to small radii without using a mandrel on the
inside, in order to control cross sectional deformation
better.
• Suitability for load-bearing structures
Combi 200 tubes are not intended to be used in
load-bearing structures.
• Surface protection
The tubes are usually delivered without surface
protection (dry). Tubes can be delivered lightly oiled if
so agreed upon in conjunction with the order.
• Inspection document
Combi 200 tubes are normally delivered with a test
report in compliance with EN 10204-2.2.
