Sura Hadid (or Iron)

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify God and he is the
Mighty, the Wise. His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He
gives life, He gives death and He is Able to do all things. He is the First and
He is the Last, The Evident and the Immanent and He has full knowledge of
all things. It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days and is
firmly established on the Throne (of authority). He knows what enters within
the earth and what comes out of it. He knows what comes down from heavens
and what mounts upto it. He is with us wheresoever we may be and sees all
that we do. To Him alone belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth
and all the affairs are referred to Him. He merges Night into Day and Day into
Night. He has full knowledge of all the secrets of all hearts. Believe in God
and His Apostle and spend in charity out of your substance. For those, who
believe and spend in charity, is a great Reward (in the Hereafter). When the
Apostle invites you to believe in your Lord then why do you reject Faith? He
is the One who has sent His Messenger with Signs to lead you from darkness
to light. God is Most kind and Merciful to you. To God belongs the heritage of
the heavens and the earth. Then why you do not spend in the Cause of God?
Those who fought and spent in the name of God before the Victory (of Mecca)
are higher in rank than those who did afterwords. But to all God promised a
good reward and God is well acquainted with all that you do. Who is he who
will loan to God a beautiful loan that He may double it for him and get a rich
reward? On the Day, the Light of the believers shall be shining forth before
them and by their right hands. For them it shall be a great Day of rejoicement
as they shall be placed in the Gardens of bliss under which rivers flow and
wherein they will be immortal. It shall be the supreme triumph for the
believers. The Hypocrites will request them to borrow some Light for
themselves. But their request will be turned down. A wall will separate them
from the believers. Within the door of this wall, there shall be Mercy and on
the outer it shall be Wrath and Punishment. They shall cry out to the Believers
as were we not with you? Yes, but you doubted and vain desires beguiled you
till the ordinance of God came to pass. The Deceiver deceived you concerning
God. So this Day no ransom can be taken from you nor from those who
disbelieved. Your home now is the Fire. Humility and the rememberance of
God and His Message are more necessary for the Believers (in the hour of
victory and prosperity). Their hearts should not be hard like the people before
them (Jews and Christians). He is the One who gives life to the earth after its
death. Your charity is your loan to God which will be increased many-times
and their awaits for you a great reward from your Lord (in the Hereafter). And
those people who believe in God and His Apostles are the sincere people.
They are also witnesses and martyres and their reward is with their Lord along
with the Light of their Faith. But those who reject God and His Signs, they
shall be the companions of Fire. Know then, that the life of the world is only
play and idle talk and pageantry and boasting among you, and rivalry in
respect of wealth and children. Its example is just like vegetation after rain.
The growth is pleasing to the eye. But after a time it becomes yellowish and
just fade out and crumbles away. Therefore, the righteous should ask for His
Forgiveness and for the wrongdoers, awaits a severe Penalty in the Hereafter.
Beware, the life of this world is nothing but matter of illusion. Race one with
another for forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden of Bliss. It is prepared
for the apostles and His believers, the width of which is as that of the distance
between the heaven and earth. That is the Grace of God which is for those
whom He pleases. God is the Lord of Infinite bountry. No misfortune can
happen on earth or the people but that which is already recorded with God in
the Book (Looh-e-Mahfooz) and that is very easy for God: You should not
despair over matters misfortunes) that happen to you nor exult over favours
(fortunes). For God love not any vain boasters, covetous, those who enjoin
upon the people avarice and those who turn back from God’s Way. For God is
free of all needs and Worthy of all Praise. Indeed, for the guidance of
mankind, God sent down apostles with Clear Signs and sent down with them
the Book and the Balance many a times. Further, he gave mankind Iron which
is a material of strength for warfares (in the Name of God) and other uses. So
that God may test his servants as who are the men for the Unseen (God) and
His apostles. For God is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might and able to
enforce. His Will. Indeed, Prophet Noah and Abraham and prophets from their
posterity were sent with Revelations for the guidance. But many of the people
became rebellious transgressors. After these other prophets were sent for the
guidance. But many of the people were disobedient and rebellious
transgressors. Many other prophets followed them. Jesus son of Mary was also
sent after them with the Gospel. The hearts of those who followed him were
filled with compassion and mercy. But monasticism they invented was not
ordained by God. They observed it not with right observance. Among them
who believed God and His Apostle were rewarded, but many of them were
rebellious transgressors. O you who believe, believe in His Apostle, and He
will bestow on you twofold of His Mercy He will provide for you a Light by
which you shall walk straight in your path and He will forgive you your past.
For God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. That the people of the Scripture
(Jews and Christians) may know that they have no power over the bounty of
God. His bounty is in His hand to give to whom He wills. And God is of
Infinite Bounty.
