traumatic experience from her employer. This situation caused her to return back to the

There was none given nor was there any mention of life events of significance to her
situation.
Current Life Situation:
According to her husband, Mrs. G is responding to the treatments given to her in PGH.
Although at this moment, it is impossible to speak to her regarding the incident. Actually, her
husband was advised to completely not bring it up. Fortunately, she seems to be getting better
according to Mr. R. She passes the time with Sudoku and word puzzles. She also has no trouble
drinking her medicine on time.

an OFW to for their children.
Description of Patient:
Mrs. G is Filipino woman who looks her age. She is brown-skinned and very thin with
long black hair. We visited her in the wards and she seemed strong. She was sitting on her bed
at the moment of this interview.
Mental Status:
Initially, she was responsive to our questions. However, when asked about her bad
experience, she just remained quiet. When we asked if she didn’t want to share it, she
responded with a yes.
Patient’s Understanding of Illness:
We were not able to get information regarding this as she was not willing to share this
information with us. Only thing she said was that she’s gotten better and that she’s been
drinking her medicine on time and also participating in programs for the patients of the ward.
Psychosocial Impact of Illness:
Her husband told us that she was responding to the programs and treamtents very well.
However, her role as a mother has suffered significantly and has created a domino effect on her
husband’s productivity as well. As for her, she seems to be in a state that requires attention
most of the time. Though, it’s good to note that she acknowledges that she is getting better and
has engaged herself in the programs of PGH as well as in past time activities.
