CLASS 10
Experiment No: 2
AIM: Date:
To determine the resistance of a given resistor using Ohm’s law.
APPARATUS:
1. A resistor with unknown resistance
2. An ammeter
3. A voltmeter
4. A rheostate
5. A plug key
6. A d.c source
7. Connecting wires
THEORY:
If temperature and the other physical condition remain constant the current flowing through a conductor is
directly proportional to the potential difference across the conductor.

OBSERVATION:
Least count of the ammeter = ……………. A
Least count of the voltmeter = ……………. V

No of e.m.f applied in the Potential drop V Current I Resistance R Mean R
