CHAPTER EIGHT: Predication-Making based on the “Old Rhymes” Ms. Brown Grade 6

Prophecies to predict the plot:

The Old Rhymes

DIRECTIONS: Based on the prophecies recited by Mr. Beaver, we can
predict the events that will happen later in the story. To determine the
significance of the “old rhymes,” answer the following questions and
draw the rhymes in the fortune teller crystal ball templates.
Draw the first two lines of the rhyme:

When Adam’s flesh and Adam’s bone

Sits at Cair Paravel in throne,
The evil time will be over and done.

1. How might this “old rhyme” relate to the children?

2. Why does the White Witch want to kidnap humans?

Draw how Aslan will change Narnia’s SETTING:

Wrong will be right, when Aslan comes in sight,

At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more,
When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death,
And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.

3. List at least three (3) things that are “wrong” in Narnia. Then
indicate how they could be “made right.”
