(Minor Project Report)

I. MINOR PROJECT

Prior to the beginning of the End Semester Examination of the Second Semester the subjects on which each
student shall be pursuing his / her Minor Project in relation to a business firm during Summer Vacation and the
respective internal supervisors shall be finalized by the concerned Principal / Director of the Institute wherein
BBA Programme is being run. After completion of the assigned Project a Project Report in respect of the same
shall be submitted to the concerned Director/Principal within two weeks of the commencement of the Third
Semester. The Minor Project shall carry 100 marks i.e., marks equivalent to one course and it shall be pursued
by every student under the supervision of one internal supervisor to be appointed by the Principal / Director of
the Institute from among the Faculty Members handling the various BBA courses. It shall be evaluated jointly
by the Internal Supervisor and the External Examiner. The Internal Supervisor shall award marks out of 50
and the External Examiner shall award marks out of 50. The External Examiner shall be appointed by the
University.

Objectives:

The student will have the opportunity to explore the current management literature so as to develop an
individual style and sharpen his skills in the area of leadership communication, decision making, motivation
and conflict management.

Minor Project and Presentation

Minor projects are tasks that add to the knowledge of the students. A topic shall be given to each student in the
beginning of the semester in various areas of management. The Presentation Project comprises of either of the
following:

*Case Study Presentation

* Case study can be chosen by the students in their respective areas of interest.

Minor Project Report


(Course Code: BBA 211 L-0 Credits-4)

All the students will submit their Minor Project Reports (3 copies) by 16th August,2010 to the
supervisor in the organization under whose guidance students will prepare their projects. Each student
will be attached with one internal project guide, with whom they shall be in continuous touch during
the project work. The internal project guide will be required to evaluate (out of 50 marks) on the basis
of the assessment report provided by the organization where the Minor Project Report has been
completed and his/her own assessment about the work done by the student. The evaluation of the
remaining 50 marks shall be made by external examiner appointed by the University who shall
evaluate on the basis of presentation and the assessment report received from the organization where
student has undergone the Minor Project.

Guidelines for Minor Project Report 2010


All the students are required to follow the following instruction.
a. List of project mentors is displayed on notice board .
b. All students are required to discuss their project with the respective mentors and the title of
the project is to be finalized latest by 4th June 2010.
c. The students are required to work under the active guidance of their respective mentors the
should meet the mentor atleast once in a week to discuss the progress.
d. Mentors are required to maintain the record of such meetings.10 marks of internal
assessment are based on the regularity of the attendance during vacations.
e. There should not be any deviation from requirement of reproducing the cover page of the
report from the format prescribed below:

Note: The project should be spiral blinded.

f. Typing Instructions:

The length of the Project Report may be about 50-60 typed pages on A4 size Bond paper.
The text should be prepared with 1.5 line spacing and 12 point Times New Roman font
with a Margin of 1.25” on left side.

Margin of 1” on the remaining three other sides.

g. Each minor project report should adequately explain the research methodology adopted and
the direction for future research.

h. The material in the report wherever picked up from any source, the name of the source is
mandatory to be referred in the required format.

II Executive summary: (2 to 3 pages)
This should include a brief summary of the entire project with emphasis on objectives,
research methodology, findings and conclusions. It should also highlight the original
contribution made by the candidate.
