MTW G.

Weir

iPad Stand Brief

This is a simple project that will allow students to
progress their skills and ability using hand tools found in
the MTW room.

It consists of three pieces, a back and two legs. The back

is joined to the legs using a style of cross halving joint.
The legs have two slots each located at the end to hold the iPad in place.

The design of the back is left up to the students’ own imagination. You can use
coping saws, pyrography pens or whatever other hand tools of your choice,
provided the teacher says it is allowed. You can also glue on more bits if you so
choose.

The piece can be completed in the students’ choice of finish.
