Binding 1/2 yard (based on 21/2"-wide cut strips)

Creative Grids Circle Savvy ruler (optional)

Cutting Instructions: Teal Solid and Green Print Fabrics (from each):
• (1) 2 1/2" × 48 1/2" strip (2 total)
Teal Print Fabric: • (1) 2 1/2" × 52 1/2" strip (2 total)
• (4) 7" × width of fabric (WOF) strips; subcut into:
♦♦ (16) 7" × 7" squares Stabilizer:
♦♦ Dark Gold Solid Fabric: • (16) 7" × 7" squares
• (4) 6 1/2" × WOF strips; subcut into:
♦♦ (16) 6 1/2" × 9 1/2" rectangles Binding Fabric:
• (2) 6 7/8" × WOF strips; subcut into: • (6) 2 1/2" × WOF strips

Make the Blocks: 3. Sew a dark gold 6 1/2" × 9 1/2" rectangle to the dark gold
side of each unit from Step 2; press.
Note: Use 1/4" seam allowances and sew with right sides
together; press seams toward the darker fabric unless oth-
erwise indicated.

1. Place a 6 7/8" × 10 1/8" dark gold rectangle on thecutting


mat, right side up. Cut it in half diagonally from upper
left to lower right. Repeat with the remaining 6 7/8" × 10
1/8" dark gold and very light gold rectangles.

4. Cut a quarter circle from each 7" teal print square us-

ing the Circle Savvy ruler or the pattern provided. To
use the ruler, align the fold lines on the ruler with two

adjacent edges of the fabric square and cut on the 12 1/2"

line. Or, trace the pattern onto paper or template plas-

tic, cut it out, and then align the straight edges of the

12 template with two adjacent edges of the fabric square


and cut on the curved line.

2. Using the triangles from Step 1, align the long edges of


one dark gold and one very light gold triangle so that
one point of each triangle extends beyond the point of
the other triangle approximately 3/8". Sew the triangles
together; press. Trim the dog ears and square up the
rectangle to 6 1/2" × 9 1/2". Repeat with the remaining
triangles from Step 1.

5. Lightly apply the glue stick to the wrong side of a quarter Assemble the Quilt Top:

6. Sew a 3 1/2" × 12 1/2" very light gold rectangle to the top


of each unit from Step 5; press the seams toward the
rectangles.

Quilt assembly

Finish the Quilt:

9. Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Baste the layers
together.
