JOB TITLE: Senior Digital Product Lead Alphega

REPORTS TO: VP, Managing Director Alphega Pharmacy Europe,

1 JOB PURPOSE
To lead and deliver our product strategic roadmap and development across our web, mobile app and
store channels, bringing best in class Digital customer experience to our customers and patients at pace,
in line with our strategy, and that deliver strong returns on investment.

2 JOB CONTEXT

the Alliance Healthcare Division of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc, the first global pharmacy-led health
and wellbeing enterprise.
This role is responsible for leading the product management for a portfolio of new digital technology
products establishing the strategy & roadmap and driving a shared product vision, expanding awareness
and use of customer-focused approaches, and business model innovation across a wide range of cross-
functional resources.

4 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Responsible for developing, defining and owning the product technology vision and strategy for
the Alphega product portfolio. Including: project & product planning and execution throughout
the product lifecycle; gathering and prioritizing business and customer (unmet) needs; and
translating needs into product requirements.
 Reviews the divisional goals and customer experience. Lead cross-functional teams (internal
and external) to envision new innovative products, features, product concepts and develop user
stories; translating them into a logically sequenced and optimized roadmap.
 Takes an outcome-driven approach to creating transformational products.
 Ensures features align to the business goals and get to market per specifications, achieving
desired outcomes and the expected adoption and usage by the Alphega pharmacy network.
 Identifies the customer segments with strong growth potential and opportunities to innovate
and improve, providing additional benefits to the customer and profitability/ROI to the
organization.
 Proactively identifies and resolves strategic issues that may impair site functionality and/or the
team’s ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals.
 Defines and analyses markets, including but not limited to the measurement and analysis of
existing products and services and evaluates technologies and identifies opportunities to
innovate and improve.
 Closely collaborates with enterprise architects/solutions architects, engineering and UI/UX to

deliver a best-in-class user experience and drive implementation of new product features and
strategies.
 Performs business and financial analysis, monitoring and reporting and builds business case to
justify expenditures for building products.
 Performs as Product Management and Agile SME and as consultant to senior management and
key stakeholders in area of expertise and in support of product launch efforts.
 Identifies industry best practices in pharmacy and retail and builds partner relationships.
 Understands how technology advancements drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
Keeps up to speed on all new product launches in the online space.

5 JOB HOLDERS SPECIFICATION


 This role would suit an existing Senior Product Manager/ Head of Product with experience of
delivering commercial results in a consumer facing retail, services, and/or ecommerce
environment, or a CIO/CTO of an upstart organization with experience in Product management
and software engineering
 Experience in consumer-facing or internal client-facing solution development, or in product
management focusing on the product development lifecycle.
 Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of how customers and Pharmacy patients engage
and interact online and across channels.
 Hugely customer-focused: able to view problems and solutions through customer needs,
journeys and data to then shape the technology solution and opportunity
 A strong set of analytical skills, with a track record of using customer insight, behavioural and
financial metrics to shape improvements to customer experience and business performance
 Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and
manage the most senior stakeholders, engaging them with confidence and clarity
 Understands Software as a service consumer platform
 Operates as a strategy muscle that can develop a vision and detail all milestones of execution
with all processes connected
 Deeply understand implications of go to market

5.1 SPECIFIC SKILLS


Fluency in English; and at least one other European Language is desirable, not essential

5.2 EXPERIENCE
Relevant Product Manager experience in a customer-focused, medium sized business.
Experience in the pharmacy / healthcare / retail industry would be advantageous.
Experience in managing software products

5.3 TRAVEL
Regular travel to all markets in the Alphega network will be required
