THE INNOVATIVE, ENHANCED ASPHALT SOLUTION

THE INNOVATIVE, ENHANCED ASPHALT SOLUTION

MacRebur’s® MR products are a conglomeration of carefully selected

polymers, specifically designed to improve the strength, flexibility and
durability of asphalt whilst reducing the quantity of bitumen required in the
mix.

MacRebur’s® MR6 comes in pellet form. It replaces part of the bitumen and can be used
in any asphalt mix (AC, SMA, HRA etc.).

MR6 introduces polymers into the mix which modify asphalt resulting in increased
tensile strength. Due to its unique chemical make-up, MR6 raises the softening point
making it ideal for use in hot weather. MR6 also has increased fuel resistance.

MacRebur’s® MR8 comes in a flake and is cheaper than standard grade bitumen.

It reduces bitumen use and is designed to be added into any asphalt mix. MR8
improves the rheology of hot asphalt resulting in smoother installation.

MacRebur’s® MR10 comes in pellet form. It replaces part of the bitumen in the

asphalt mix and can be used in any road design. MR10 introduces polymers into
the mix which modify asphalt resulting in increased flexibility and cohesion whilst

THE END OF THE ROAD FOR WASTE PLASTIC

MacRebur’s® products are made from 100% waste materials and are
used to replace part of the bitumen in any asphalt mix.

Between 3kg to 10kg of waste plastics are used in every ton of asphalt
depending on the road design.

As fossil fuels are constantly being consumed, alternatives to bitumen must be

considered to improve sustainability. MacRebur’s® MR products replace part of
the bitumen in asphalt, giving a significant reduction in fossil fuel usage.

We are seeing the negative effects of a plastic epidemic throughout the world.
But as MacRebur’s® MR products are all made from 100% recycled plastic
materials, they help reduce unwanted, discarded plastics from landfill and from
oceans.

MacRebur® have found an innovative way of using waste plastics to give a cost

ASPHALT MANUFACTURERS

MacRebur’s® customers are the asphalt manufacturing companies, of which there

are 275 asphalt plants currently operating in the UK and nearly 5000 across Europe.
Worldwide, the asphalt market produces 1.6 billion tons of asphalt annually.

MacRebur’s® MR products can be used in all Asphalt Manufacturers own branded

products to replace refinery blended PMB’s in order to extend the geographic
availability of their range.

Asphalt manufacturers purchase bitumen as a key part of their mix. MacRebur’s®

MR products allow for less bitumen to be added to the mix giving the manufacturer
instant increased profits from all current and future business.

As global bitumen prices increase, so too does the commercial urgency for
MacRebur’s® MR products.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND ASPHALT BUYERS

MacRebur® use local waste for local roads and divert waste from landfill
sites into roads reducing landfill tax costs. In the UK alone 20 million tons of
asphalt are produced annually – if MacRebur’s® MR products were used in
every ton, 60,000 tons of plastic would be saved from landfill each year.

Some of the many benefits of using MacRebur’s® MR products are:

• Increase lifespan of roads
• Reduced maintenance costs
• Cheaper alternative to Polymer Modified Bitumen
• Reduction in landfill tax costs
• Reduced carbon emissions and adds to the circular economy
• Green alternative to bitumen in asphalt
