1 Synchronize data on the live network to the current data area.
2 Create a planned data area and a fallback data area based on the data in the current data
area.
3 Reconfigure data in the planned data area.
5 Activate the script for the reconfigured data to take effect on the live network.
6 Synchronize the data in the current data area with the latest live network data.
7 Compare the data in the fallback data area with the latest data in the current data area, and
generate a script based on the data difference.
8 Activate the script generated based on the data difference to fall back the live network data
to the state before the fallback area was created.
The data synchronization of the current data area is a process of writing data from the NE
to the CME database.
The data synchronization of the planned data area (including creating a planned data area)
is a process of reading data from the CME database.
The data of one NE cannot be synchronized to the current data area and a planned data
area at the same time.
The CME provides three data synchronization methods to ensure that the changes of
NE data on the live network can be synchronized to the CME in time. Therefore,
users can configure data based on the latest NE data.

synchronization, user can manually synchronize data.
The time required for synchronizing NE data to the CME (from
start to end) in terms of NE type is as follows:
• NodeB: 5 min
• eNodeB: 10 min

The maximum number of NEs that can be synchronized
simultaneously by the CME are 5 controllers and 400 base
stations.
After you open a planned data area, if the CME icon blinks in
the Windows task bar, the NE data in the planned data area
changes. Double-click the CME icon to view the data change.
