Class Procedure
This course is based on TED as well as a primary text (additional materials will be supplemented accordingly)
 At first, we will focus on answering:
A. What is creativity?
B. How can I understand the arts?
C. How can I be a creative person?
D. How can I locate my own creative path?
 We will discuss questions posted in TED Conversations to begin the critical/creative thinking process.
Followed by TED Quotations to gain insight into the thoughts of TED speakers.
 During each class we will attempt to analyze key language used by the speaker / writer as well as discuss
particular concepts in the talk / text through solid discourse marked by the development of significant
investigative questions.
 Noting main elements and note-taking will assist you in maintaining your idea-flow while allowing you the
space to envision additional ideas and projects.
 Ultimately, you are preparing to give your own TED talk by the end of this course and to guide a discussion
based on your talk
