Write a description of the presentation, including elements such as scenery, costumes and
music.

2. You have been asked to represent your country at a world youth conference.
How would you use what you have learnt in Drama to encourage others to visit your country.

3. Trinidad and Tobago’s music has evolved over a period of time.


Discuss how the elements of music: rhythm, melody, harmony and timbre, has influenced our
culture from the early 1900’s to our present day?

4. Foreign cultural instruments (eg. Tassa and African Drums) have influenced the music of
Trinidad and Tobago.
Discuss how these instruments have contributed to our rich and unique style of music.

5. Name the dance elements.


Discuss the relationship of dance elements when creating a dance based on ONE (1) of the
themes - ‘ The Seaside’ or ‘ The Forest’.

6. Name two (2) Caribbean folk dances.


Compare and contrast their styles, costumes etc.

7. Select an artist of Trinidad and Tobago. The artist may be a painter, sculptor, mas designer,
textile designer, pottery maker or produce work in any other visual arts field/s.
Discuss the artist himself/herself, how the artist’s work has contributed to the culture and/ or
arts of Trinidad and Tobago, and how the artist has encouraged or influenced you as a
student/ young artist.
