Read the following carefully:
1. This paper consists of two (2) sections. Section I contains one hundred multiple choice questions.
Section II contains eight (8) open response questions.
3. Section I is divided into four options: Option A – Visual Arts; Option B – Music; Option C – Dance
and Option D – Drama.
Choose TWO options and answer ALL questions in each option
4. Use separate multiple choice answer sheets to record your answers for each option
5. Write the name of each option at the top of each of your multiple choice answer sheets

1. Your class has been asked to dramatise either Indian Arrival Day or Emancipation Day.
Write a description of the presentation, including elements such as scenery, costumes and
music.
2. You have been asked to represent your country at a world youth conference.
How would you use what you have learnt in Drama to encourage others to visit your country.
4. Foreign cultural instruments (eg. Tassa and African Drums) have influenced the music of
Trinidad and Tobago.
Discuss how these instruments have contributed to our rich and unique style of music.
7. Select an artist of Trinidad and Tobago. The artist may be a painter, sculptor, mas designer,
textile designer, pottery maker or produce work in any other visual arts field/s.
Discuss the artist himself/herself, how the artist’s work has contributed to the culture and/ or
arts of Trinidad and Tobago, and how the artist has encouraged or influenced you as a
student/ young artist.
8. A designer wishes to create a banner with the words: GERMANY HERE WE COME
Select a FOUR (4) colour scheme for the banner, and discuss why you have chosen each
colour.
Apart from the words, draw TWO (2) illustrations (symbols, logos etc.) that may
be used either separately or together to compliment the lettering on the banner.
Discuss how effective will the combined use of the words and your illustrations be to the
banner.
