Feature terminology
Task

A task represents a real life work.

Title

A short name for describing the core nature of the task.

Task manager

The person who is responsible for the task, e.g. teacher, manager etc. The creator of task is usually
recognized as the task manager.

Assigned

The date on which the task was created.

Completion span

Minimum or average time required to complete the task e.g. 1 day to draw sketches.

Remaining period

Time between today and deadline.

Lapsed period

Time between date assigned and today.

Deadline

The final deadline for completing task and submitting task results.

Task list

A task list is the list of task assigned to or created by nistencorp app user. The list can be filtered by
different fields such as title (short title of the task), task manager (the person responsible the task, e.g.
teacher, manager etc.), date assigned (the date on which the task was created), completion span
(minimum or average time required to complete the task e.g. 1 day to draw sketches), remaining period

(time between today and deadline), lapsed period (time between date assigned and today) and
deadline (the final deadline for completing task and submitting task results).

What is RED alert?

The nistencorp app makes sure that users do not miss their tasks with a special feature called RED alert.

RED alert is the negative difference of remaining period and completion span.

During this alert period nistencorp help user avoid distractions by automatically blocking sites (or wifi)
and make phone silent.

For example:

Let’s assume:

remaining period = 15 hours

completion span = 24 hours

The difference is:

remaining period - completion span = 15 - 24 = - 9 hours

A RED alert is generated when the difference of remaining period and completion span is negative. This
makes sure that user is alerted about the criticality of the task submission period.

Task status dots

Each task is assigned at least one status dot.

Pending tasks are accompanied with a blue dot next to it.

Completed tasks are accompanied with a green dot.

Missed (missed the deadline) tasks are accompanied with a red dot.

Users can create a task for assigning to others or for themselves. A title helps in recognizing the task.

Assign task

A task can be assigned to an individual, many individuals individually, a group of individuals or many
groups.

A notification is shown instantly when the task is assigned and added to the task list with corresponding
status dot.

Remind and notify task

A task when accompanied with reminder details is reminded on different occasions. The user is

All tasks can be seen as a list with filtering options and their corresponding status dots.

The task manager can easily track the status of the task on the go.

For each task, you can see how many people have completed the task, how many are remaining. Filter
by completion date, assignee etc.

Complete task

Each task is accompanied with a task complete checkbox. Once a task is completed, the user can tick
the checkbox to indicate that the task is completed. Instantly, the status dot becomes green.

Export tasks

Each task data can be exported to different file formats such as PDF and spreadsheets.

Just create the task (or task series) in nistencorp and assign this to the team. Instantly, the team is
