3. The sum of the first 8 terms of an arithmetic sequences is 60 and the sum of the next 6
terms is 108. Find the 25th term of this arithmetic sequence.

5. The 7th terms of a geometric sequence is 32, and the sum of the first six terms is equal

8. A ping pong ball is released from the ceiling of height 3 m from the floor. Each time the

13. An industrial shed is to have a total floor space of 600 m2 and is to be divided into 3
rectangular rooms of equal size. The walls, internal and external, will cost RM 60 per
meter to build. What the minimum dimension of the wall and its cost.

14. A window consists of a rectangle of width 2𝑥 and a height 𝑎, surmounted by a semicircle


of diameter 2𝑥. If the perimeter of the window 𝑃, show that the rea of the window is
