sizes as the primary dimension. Permitted metric size (S.I. Units) building sewer and water service lines shall be
dimensioned in millimeters as nominal outside diameter (OD).

Ans.: 150psi for the period of not less than 4 hours. (SAES-S-060 103.5.3.3)

Ans.: 2 in (50 mm OD)

Q: How the Steel pipe and fittings in contact with a corrosive atmosphere or buried underground will
be protected?
Ans.: shall be coated against exterior surface corrosion in accordance with SAES-H-002.

Q: What should be the maximum distance between the supports?


Ans.: Plastic pipe shall be supported at each story or at a maximum interval of 10 ft (3.0 m)

provided?
Ans.: Metallic pipe supported by metallic hangers of different type shall be electrically insulated
