2. In Indonesian, there are basically two forms of verbs, i.e. the base and the
affixed-forms. The base-forms are commonly used in colloquial language,
while the affixed-forms are formal.

bayar membayar (to pay for)
3. The word ke is used wit a noun indicating a place, while kepada is used
with a noun indicating a person.
Tono pergi ke kantor.
(Tono went to the office.)
Bambang minta teh kepada pelayan restoran.
(Bambang asked the waiter for some tea.)
4. The words Bapak and Ibu are used when addressing a man and a woman
and a woman respectively, as a term or respect. These words can be used
with reference to seniority, age, or status.
Siapa nama Bapak? (What’s your name?)
Ibu dari Bali? (Are you from Bali?)
