Configuring the mail client to use Orange.

SMTP authenticated relay:

I- Outlook Express:

1. Open Outlook or Outlook Express.

2. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts...

3. Click Add, and then click Mail...

4. Enter your name in the Display name: field, and click Next.
5. Enter your full Orange email address (username@orange.jo) in
the Email address: field, and click Next.
6. Enter pop.orange.jo in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server:
field. Enter smtpauth.orange.jo in the Outgoing mail (SMTP)
server: field.

7. Click Next.

8. Enter your full email address (including '@orange.jo') in the


Account name: field. Enter your email password in the Password:
field, and click Next.
9. Click Finish.
10. Highlight pop.orange.jo under Account, and click Properties.

11. Click the Advanced tab.


12. Enter 587 in the Outgoing mail (SMTP): field.
*The order of Outgoing and Incoming mail server fields varies by
version. Make sure you enter the correct information in each field.

13. Return to the Servers tab, and check the box next to My server
requires authentication.
14. Click OK.
II- Microsoft Office Outlook:

1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook.

2. Click the Tools menu, and select E-mail Accounts...

3. Click Add a new e-mail account, and click Next.

4. If you are using Outlook 2000/2003 then go to step 7.

5. For Outlook 2007 choose Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and

click Next.

6. Check Manually configure server settings…, and click Next.

7. Choose Internet E-mail or POP3 as your server type by clicking the radio button,

and click Next.

8. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:

User Information
Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of
outgoing messages.
Email Address: Enter your full email address (username@orange.jo)

Server Information

Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.orange.jo


Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtpauth.orange.jo

Login Information

User Name: Enter your orange username (including @orange.jo). Enter


your full address in the format username@orange.jo
Password: Enter your email password
9. Click More Settings... and then click the Outgoing Server tab.
10. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

and select Use same settings as my incoming mail server.


11. Click the Advanced tab.

12. Enter 587 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) box.


13. Click OK.
14. Click Test Account Settings... After receiving Congratulations! All tests
completed successfully, click Close.
15. Click Next, and then click Finish.

Congratulations!

You're done configuring your client to send and retrieve Orange.jo messages.
