Rationale:
Students
are
expected
to
prepare
themselves
for
all
activities
of
the
program.
Being
physically,
mentally,
emotionally
and
spiritually
prepared
is
a
shared
responsibility
between
the
formator
and
the
students.
Since
engagement
in
communities
is
valued
in
the
program,
the
readiness
of
students
is
non-‐negotiable.
It
is
therefore
the
responsibility
of
students
to:
o Attend
all
pre-‐engagement
activities;
and
o Submit
all
pre-‐engagement
requirements
(clearances
and
permits)
• Students
who
sign-‐up
for
the
Praxis
immersion
are
expected
to
attend
all
preparatory
activities
namely:
o Classroom
Orientation
o Praxis
Program
Orientation
o Integration
Workshop
Students
who
do
not
attend
all
these
sessions
will
forfeit
their
slot.
• To
ensure
that
the
students
are
physically
fit
to
participate
in
the
immersion,
the
students
should
undergo
a
medical
check-‐up
the
results
of
which
should
be
submitted
to
the
formator-‐in-‐charge
during
the
Integration
Workshop
• The
students
are
expected
to
submit
their
parent’s
reply
slip
during
the
Integration
Workshop
• Students
are
expected
to
familiarize
themselves
with
the
details
of
the
area
by
reading
the
Area
Information
Report
(AIR)
which
will
be
given
to
them
during
the
week
of
the
immersion

regarding
the
flow

activities
or
tasks

the
weekend

the
group

Rationale:
It
is
the
primary
responsibility
of
the
formators
to
ensure
the
safety
and
security
of
the
students.
However,
students
also
have
obligations
to
ensure
the
safety
and
security
of
the
community’s
members,
their
formator
and
their
peers.
These
obligations
are
to:
o Know
basic
information
such
as
objectives,
schedules,
requirements
etc.
o Look
after
their
and
their
peers’
belongings.

to
their

and
those
in
the
area

safety
reasons,

formator

assembly
place

the

must

him/herself

his/her

who

left
behind

not
follow
on
their
own
going
to
the
area
• For
any
concerns
in
the
area,
students
are
expected
to
approach

formator

their
foster
parents

whereabouts
during
the
whole
immersion.
Students

not
leave
the
premises
of
the
community
without
permission

the
formator

school

encouraged
to

only
the
advised
amount
by
the
formator,
which
will
cover
food,
transportation
&
contingency
expenses
