1. WELCOMING SPEECH – CHAIRPERSON

1.1 Meeting began with the reciting of the Al-Fatihah and chaired by
Pn.Azimah. She welcomed all English Teachers and thanked them for
the support and cooperation given.

2. PASSING OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

2.1 The meeting minutes was read by the panel head.
2.2 En. Abd Malek proposed the meeting minutes to be passed.

3. ARISING MATTERS
3.1 Analysis of last year UPSR examination, our school achieved 35/45
pupils passes the English paper.
3.2 Upgrading the English Room and continue the progress made by Pn. Siti
Zalina.

4. YEARLY SCHEME OF WORK AND DAILY LESSON PLAN

4.1 Pn. Azimah stress out about the yearly scheme of work and daily lesson
plan must be put into daily lesson plan book and updated everyday.
 5. LINUS 2.0
5.1 The remedial class for pupils who did not fare well had been held by all
Level 1 teachers according to their time in the timetable.
5.2 Pn. Noreha and En. Chakrawarthy had presented the remedial activity for
the LINUS pupils.

6. MBMMBI
6.1 The MBMMBI programme will continue to be carried out in the following
year. Therefore, teachers are advised to use various methods and
approach to teach different level of students.

7. OTHER MATTERS.
7.1 Teachers are encourage to make full use of textbook and activity book.
7.2 Level 2 pupils should have their own dictionary
7.3 All teachers are reminded to increase the effectiveness of teaching and
learning in English literacy classes.
7.4 Teachers should update their files and daily lesson plan book.

1. WELCOMING SPEECH – CHAIRPERSON

1.1 Meeting began with the reciting of the Al-Fatihah and chaired by
Pn.Azimah. She welcomed all English Teachers and thanked them for
the support and cooperation given.
1.2 She hoped that English Panel to be an example to all panels in school.
1.3 She also mentioned that we had improvised from SKPMg1 to SKPMg2.

2. VERIFICATION OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

2.1 The meeting minutes was read by the panel head.
2.2 En. Chakrawarthy proposed the previous meeting minutes to be
accepted.

3. PROGRAMS FOR 2017

3.1 ENGLISH DAY ON EVERY WEDNESDAY. Everybody is compulsory to
speak in English. Pupils will assembled at the assembly place. Any
activities can be held in English. Eg: prepared stories, poems or speech.
3.2 CREATIVE ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT. Update the English board (
bulletin ) with any information or anything can be related to our school in
English. One teacher will be assign for one month starting from March to
Nevember.
3.3 MORNING READING. The class teacher should be in class and conduct
a 5 minutes reading in English during the first period.
 3.4 ENGLISH ROOM. This room is now taken by Pn. Fizarina. Using the
same room that prepared by former Pn Siti Zalina. This room can be
updated from time to time and other English teacher can help her to
improve the English Room.
3.5 IMPLEMENT ICT IN TEACHING. Teacher must be very creative to
implement ICT element in their teaching. As simple as using a laptop is
also ICT element. Not compulsory for every lesson but at least once or
twice a week.
3.6 EXCHANGE LETTERS. By using ICT, teacher can ask the pupils to send
emails or digital letters to other pupils from another school.
3.7 INTERGRATE ENGLISH with ISLAMIC SONGS. There are many
ISLAMIC songs nowadays. Eg: “ Songs Of Bismillah “, “ Now we Know”, “
Alhamdulillah”, “Thank You Allah.

5. EXERCISE BOOKS
5.1 English panel already decided how many exercise book for Level 1 and
Level 2 pupils. Level 1 ( 1 Writing book and 1 Vocabulary book ). Level 2 ( 1
grammar, 1 vocab, 1 writing, 1 reading )

6. BUDGET FOR 2017 ( EXPENDITURE )

6.1 Our English Panel budget only been used to buy one set of reading cards
for level one pupils. Price RM 290.00.

7. OTHER MATTERS.
7.1 Teachers are encourage to make full use of textbook and activity book.
7.2 Level 2 pupils should have their own dictionary
7.3 All teachers are reminded to increase the effectiveness of teaching and
learning in English literacy classes.

5. EXERCISE BOOKS
5.1 English panel already decided how many exercise book for Level 1 and
Level 2 pupils. Level 1 ( 1 Writing book and 1 Vocabulary book ). Level 2
( 1 grammar, 1 vocab, 1 writing, 1 reading )
5.2 English exercise book had been sent and checked by Puan Azimah the
headmistress.

6. OTHER MATTERS.
6.1 Senior assistant mention that the programs for Year 6 pupils had started.
All teachers should give cooperation and full support to Year 6 teachers.
6.2 Level 2 pupils should have their own dictionary
6.3 Teachers should update their files and daily lesson plan book.
6.4 Senior assistant also mentioned that Year 3 class will be implemented as
a PA21 classroom and has started the renovation.

3. ANALYSIS OF MID YEAR EXAM RESULT.

3.1 The result of MID YEAR EXAM result are as shown by our secretary of
academics.
3.2 The result for UPSR classes are increase from the previous examination.

3.3 From the results, we have discussed some ways how to overcome the
weaknesses.

i) Grammar drilling
ii) Sample answers for Paper 2
 iii) Speaking activities in the classroom such as dialogue and conversation for
pupils to practice and perform in front of the classroom to build their
confidence
iv) More exercises on vocabulary
v) Simple sentence constructions

The Panel Head thanked to all English teachers on their hardly work. She also reminded the
