Size I/9 (5.50mm) crochet hook for Shoes
Size G/6 (4.25mm) crochet hook for Accessories/Options

Hdc-half double crochet
Hdc2tog-half double crochet two stitches together
Bphdc-back post half double crochet~work half double crochet stitches around
the back of the post of indicated stitch(es)
Sl st-slip stitch
Pattern is written for smallest size, with changes for larger sizes in
(parenthesis).

Shoes: (Use I hook, Make 2)

Rnd 1: ch 14(16,18). Work 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in each of the next 6(7,8)
chs. Hdc in each of the next 5(6,7) chs. Work 4 hdc in last ch. Working opposite
side of chain, hdc in each of the next 5(6,7) sts. Sc in each of the next 6(7,8) sts.
Work 2 sc in last st. Join. (30(34,38) sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1, TURN. Work 2 sc in next st. Sc in each of the next 7(8,9) sts. Hdc in
each of the next 5(6,7) sts. Work 2 hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Hdc in each of
the next 5(6,7) sts. Sc in each of the next 7(8,9) sts. Work 2 sc in last st. Join.
(36(40,44) sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1, TURN. Work 2 hdc in next st. Sc in each of the next 15(17,19) sts.
Work 2 hdc in each of the next 4 sts. Sc in each of the next 15(17,19) sts. Work 2
hdc in last st. Join. (42(46,50) sts)
Rnd 4: ch 1,TURN. Bphdc in each st around. Join. (42(46,50) sts)
Rnd 5: ch 1, TURN. Sc in each of the next 15(17,19) sts. Hdc in each of the next 12
sts. Sc in each of the last 15(17,19) sts. Join. (42(46,50) sts)
Rnd 6: ch 1,TURN. Sc in each of the next 12(14,16) sts. *Hdc2tog, hdc in next st*,
6 times. Sc in each of the last 12(14,16) sts. Join. (36(40,44) sts)
Rnd 7: ch 1,TURN. Sc in each of the next 12(14,16) sts. *Hdc2tog, hdc in next st*,
4 times. Sc in each of the last 12(14,16) sts. Join. (32(36,40) sts)
Rnd 8: ch 1,TURN. Sc in each of the next 10(12,14) sts. *Hdc2tog, hdc in next st*,
4 times. Sc in each of the last 10(12,14) sts. Join. (28(32,36) sts)
Rnd 9: ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Sc in each of the next 8(10,12) sts. *Sc2tog, sc in next
st*, 4 times. Sc in each of the last 8(10,12) sts. Join. (24(28,32) sts) *Stop here for
Slipper style shoes. Sl st in each st around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
For Boot style shoes, continue to rnds 10-13.
Rnds 10-13: ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Hdc in each st around. Join. (24(28,32) sts)
Rnd 14: ch 1, DO NOT TURN. Sc in each st around. Join. Fasten off. Weave in
ends.

Accessories/Options: (Use G hook)
Large Round Eyes:
Rnd 1: ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. (12 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1. *Sc in next st, work 2 sc in next st*. Repeat (*) around. Join. Fasten
off, leaving a long tail for sewing. (18 sts)

Small Round Eyes:

Rnd 1: ch 2. Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: ch 1. Work 2 sc in each st around. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing. (12 sts)

Oval Eyes:
Ch 3. Work 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Work 4 sc in last ch. Working the opposite
side of the ch, work 2 sc in next (last) st. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for
sewing.

Large Triangle (Beak):

Row 1: ch 5. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each remaining ch. (4 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, TURN. Sc in each st across. (4 sts)
Row 3: ch 1, TURN. Sc2tog, 2 times. (2 sts)
Row 4: ch 1, TURN. Sc2tog. (1 st)
Ch 1, and sc around entire outer edge, working 3 sc in each corner. Join. Fasten
off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Small Beak:
Ch 3. Work 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook. Ch 2, sl st in same ch as dc are worked.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Grinning Mouth:
Ch 8. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in next ch. Work 2 hdc in next ch. Work 2 dc in
next ch. Work 2 hdc in next ch. Sc in next ch. Sl st in last ch. Fasten off, leaving a
long tail for sewing.

Tongue:
Ch 4. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Hdc in next ch. Sc in last ch. Fasten off, leaving a
long tail for sewing.

Purple Minion Mouth:
With Purple, ch 8. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, and each remaining ch. Fasten off,
leaving a long tail for sewing.
Join White in 1st st. Ch 1. Sl st in next st. Ch 2. Sc in next st. Ch 1. Hdc in next st.
Ch 1. Sl st in next st. Ch 1. Sc in next st. Ch 1. Sl st in last st. Fasten off. Weave in
ends.

How I made the models:

Fox: Start with Rust or Brown. Follow pattern to rnd 4. Drop Rust, join White.
Follow pattern to rnd 9. Fasten off White, pick up Rust. Finish boot.
I used 1 Large Triangle in Rust, with an I hook for the nose, and 4 Large Triangles
for the ears, 2 in White and 2 in Rust, with a G hook. Sc one of each color
together with Black, and sew in desired position on top of boot cuff. Sew the
single Rust triangle at the base of the cuff, with the bottom point meeting rnd 4.
Sew a small black button on bottom point of nose. Sew 2 small black buttons on
either side of the top of the nose, for eyes, at the base of the cuff.

Purple Minion: Start with Gray. Follow pattern to rnd 4. Fasten off Gray, join
Purple. Finish slipper.
I used 1 Large Round Eye, switching to Gray for the last rnd. Sew to center front
of slipper, and sew 1 small black button in center of eye. Make 1 Purple Minion
Mouth, and sew that under eye, in desired position. I used 1 strand of Blue/Gray
fun fur, and 1 strand of Purple worsted, to create a tassel, for his poof of hair, and
tied it securely above the eye.

Cookie Monster: Create slippers in Blue (add 1 strand of fun fur, if desired). I
used 2 Small Round Eyes, and the Grinning mouth. Sew on securely, in desired
position on front of slipper. Sew 1 small Black button in each eye.

Use your imagination, and have fun with more ideas! Try adding a strand of fun
fur with the worsted yarn, and make a fuzzy slipper or boot~add eyes, nose, and
mouth for Grover or Elmo…Use Green for a frog or Ninja Turtle! Camo, with
fringe added for a beard makes a cute Duck Dynasty guy!
