3. ABC Fertilizers PLC is a fertilizers factory which uses ammonia (NH3) as one

of the raw materials to produce different nitrogen fertilizers. The owner of

this factory installed a factory that produces ammonia (NH3) which is used as

its raw material based on the steam reforming technology. In the steam

reforming technology small amounts of CO and CO2 remaining in the synthesis

gas after the CO2 removal can poison the ammonia synthesis catalyst. How can

you remove these gasses to prevent poisoning of the catalyst if you are

employed to do so as Chemical Engineer? (4%)

4. Ammonia production Technology is almost Hydrogen production Technology.

5. Do you think commercialization of the oxidation reaction of ammonia with air or

oxygen is more economical process than Chile saltpeter process for nitric acid
