Why should you use the Left communication radio
for ATC communications? The Left VHF radio can be used for both ATC communications and ACARS transmissions. The Left VHF radio will continue to operate in the event of AC electrical failure. The Left VHF radio is used exclusively by the F/O. You have just tested the flight recorder. What does the flight recoder panel OFF light indicate about the test? The flight recorder is not operating. The flight recorder tape is filled and must be erased. The test was successful. The switch must be positioned back to TEST before the flight recorder will start operating.
