Flow measurement –
More important than ever!
Plant safety, constant product quality, process optimization, environmental protection – only some
reasons why ow measurement is becoming increasingly important in industrial instrumentation.
Endress+Hauser supports you with practical, state-of-the-art, high-quality owmeters to integrate into
your process, be it lling and dosing, controlling or recording. You might need a single, intelligent meter
with communication interface, or a complete solution for a higher-order process control system.
What you can be sure of is that we won’t promoting “one size ts all” – instead, we’ll offer you a made-
to-measure solution tailored to the specics of your industry, your application, and your requirements.
What kowmeters do
Together with automated process control
and state-of-the-art communication inter-
faces (eldbus systems), ow metering has
advanced into more and more new elds of
application.
The most important reasons for metering
ow include:
- Totalizing, displaying and recording
- Monitoring, controlling and balancing
- Filling (bottling) and dosing
And more especially:
- Metering pulsating ow
- Concentration measurement in
two-phase uids
- Measuring viscosity in-line
- Advanced diagnostics, etc.

Time-saving “Quick Setups”
The Quick Setup menus make commissioning fast and straightforward. It guides you
step by step through all the operation-relevant parameters. Quick Setups are available
as follows:
• For standard commissioning
• For metering pulsating ow
• For metering gas ow (Coriolis)
• For lling and dosing applications

Flexible inputs/outputs
Depending on the application, you can
specify which inputs and outputs you need
for your process control when you place
your order. Modular electronics afford
enhanced exibility for retrotting and for
upgrading existing meters.
