Qualifications approved for direct entry to MRICS – as of May 2017

The qualifications listed below are approved for direct entry to MRICS, subject to the conditions outlined in the table.

All applicants must;

 have current CPD records in line with RICS’ requirements and may be asked to provide a detailed CV setting out relevant experience
 have one proposer who is MRICS or FRICS
 successfully complete the RICS online ethics module
 provide a letter from the professional body confirming membership is up to date and there are no regulatory matters ongoing or sanctions
awarded against the applicant

RICS reserves the right to decline direct entry. In such cases, applicants will be required to undertake the most appropriate RICS assessment.

Applicants with a qualification giving direct entry to MRICS, but who do not yet meet any additional conditions relating to experience or academic
qualifications, may be eligible for direct entry to AssocRICS.

RICS recognises each qualification giving direct entry to MRICS as equivalent to an RICS-accredited degree, meeting the academic/professional body
requirement for the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and Senior Professional Assessment (SPA).
