Trigger : To allocate costs of Common cost centers to A and B unit cost centers.

Business Process Description Overview

Run Actual distribution cycle : We are using distribution cycles to allocate common costs to A unit and
B unit . A Cycle defines the Sender-Receiver relationship and the basis of allocation

From period Period from which you want to run the cycle
To period Period to which you want to run the cycle.
Fiscal year Financial year.
Processed with :
Test run Status of the cycle-whether test run or production run.
Detailed lists Whether detailed list is required or not.
Cycle Process which defines the distribution rule.

Output – Results Comments

You will get the message- Test run completed with Please read the name of the message. If your entry is
Messages-Error/Warning/Information. incomplete, that will be shown as “message.”

Tips and Tricks:

Run all cycles first with Test run status before production run.
Back ground processing can be used to schedule the activity during non-peak hours.

1.1 Access transaction by :

Via Menus Accounting Controlling  Cost Centers

Period end closingSingle functionsAllocationsDistribution.
Via Transaction Code KSV5

1.2. On the “Execute Actual Distribution: Initial Screen “, enter information in the fields as specified in the
below table :

From period R Period from which you want to run the cycle.
To period R Period to which you want to run the cycle.
Fiscal year R Financial year.
Processed with:
Test run O Tick this box to run the cycle in the test run mode
before executing the cycle in the productive run.

Detailed lists O Tick this box if you want a detailed list.

Cycle R Select the cycle you want to run by pulling down
the field.

1.3. Press F8 or Execute to run the cycle.

1.4. Check the accuracy of the Cycle by Clicking segments,Senders and Receivers.,

1.5. Click GotoMessagesTotal to see the messages

1.6. If you are satisfied with the messages, click back or F3 , take out the test run status and Click Execute or
F8
again which will be production run.

Business Process Description Overview

Run Actual Assessment cycle : We are using Allocation type-Assessment to allocate service center costs
to production center . A Cycle defines the Sender-Receiver relationship and the basis of allocation, which
is done in customising.

From period Period from which you want to run the cycle
To period Period to which you want to run the cycle.
Fiscal year Financial year.
Processed with :
Test run Status of the cycle-whether test run or production run.
Detailed lists Whether detailed list is required or not.
Cycle Process which defines the Assessment rule.

Output – Results Comments
