REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Instructional Support Services or STEM Supervisor, depending upon annual
assignment
DESCRIPTION: Full-time positions, (1.0 FTE), 7.0 hours per day; school calendar; 10 months per year
● Develop and provide professional development for educators through a blend of push-in and
pull out staff development models.
● Promote a vision for a well-rounded instructional environment that integrates best practices,
such as inquiry, modeling, student-centered, and technology-rich teaching.
● Support districts and advocate for successful implementation and alignment of the NYS
Learning Standards by helping districts with development of both instruction and assessments.
● Implement programs selected as a District model, supporting the best practices in all subjects.
● Adapt and create regional curriculum with other Instructional Support Teachers.
● Provide in-class support for teachers.
● Support efforts to enhance collaboration, motivate and improve student outcomes.
● Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators and other professional staff.
● Work collaboratively with other Instructional Support Services staff.
● Attend district, regional, and state-level meetings and trainings as necessary.
● Assist districts with data analysis services.
● Other duties as assigned.
SALARY: As per Educational Association contract (dependent upon years of related experience). Plus
comprehensive benefits package.
