Title: Medicare 24*7 – an all-round medical assistant

Requirements/Input: Android, SQLite/ Firebase (database).

Output: We want to create an application that is easy to use and covers all-round requirements of
our medical health. It should allow consulting a doctor sitting at home at your ease, purchasing of
medicine required with discount. It also allows easy cashless claim processing. In case you have an
emergency, it gives the contact details of 24*7 ambulances and details of emergency doctors on
duty.

Proposed idea: Now-a-days, Health care is one of the most important aspect of our day-to-day life.
At least, one member of each family is suffering from some kind of disease or sickness due to our
life style. So we want to create such an application that fulfills the requirements of a patient and
helps make the difficult time easier.

The details of our application are as follows:

The first screen/interface of our application will consist of a REGISTER/LOGIN section. The
registered user will login using its unique ID (username) and PASSWORD.

The user who hasn’t registered yet, will have to register first in order to enjoy/utilize the facilities.
An OTP will be generated randomly and will be sent to be registered mobile number for
confirmation purpose.

In case if a user forgets his/her password, he/she will have to answer the secret question which
they provided during their registration process. An email will be sent to their registered email-id
containing the password which will be used to login again.

Our application will be divided into 4 main sections:-

1. Consult a doctor :
There will be a dropdown menu provided where some of the common fields of
specialization will be provided. For example, let us consider, a GYNECOLOGIST,
CARDIOLOGIST, DERMATOLOGIST, etc. After selecting the required specialization, a list of
doctors will then be displayed on the screen, along with their education qualifications and
their contact details. Also, we can book an appointment for a doctor based on two criteria:
a) Honorary Service :
Here, the name of the hospital along with its address and contact details will be
provided.
b) Private Clinic :
Here, the address and contact details of the doctor’s private dispensary/clinic will be
provided.
2. Chemist :
A search box will be provided where the user will have to enter the name of required
medicine. The search result will show 2 conditions:
a) MATCH FOUND:
Here, the result will display the name, MRP and discounted final rate of the medicine.
You can select the quantity as well. After selecting the required medicines, the input of
the user name, address and contact will be taken after which an option for online
payment or COD will be provided to the user.
b) MATCH NOT FOUND:
Here, if the medicine is not found, you can exit.
3. Mediclaim Processing :
This will be divided into 2 parts:
a) Claim information:
The policy number will have to be entered by the user which will be used to display the
details of the user including the name of the member, policy number, policy amount,
claim amount till now along with the remaining claimed amount to avoid confusion.
For claim processing, the user will have to enter the patient name, hospital name, claim
amount, policy number and date of admission and submit it.
This will save the credentials into the database and provide the unique ID required
during the submission of claim documents.
b) Claim Documentation:
The user will have to enter the unique ID provided along with the date of discharge. The
user will receive an Email from the company including the list of documents required
and the time and date for submission of the documents at the company. If any doubt
the user can contact the Email-ID provided by the company (can be of agent or any of
their supporting workers).

4. Health Calendar and Medical Reminder :


Here, a calendar will be provided where you can save a reminder for doctor’s visit or any
health checkup. Also, you can set a reminder for daily routine of medicines to be taken.

5. Emergency and Ambulance Services :


Here, the contacts of 24*7 ambulance services will be displayed. Along with that, full time
emergency doctor’s contacts and details will be provided.
