Sessions with joey portrait lighting

- Always start with a blank scene

- Then add main light perhaps a soft box. Sometimes this is enough.
- Now add separation light(s) to create a rim light on the subject, but also to add dimensionality.
- Consider adding light for dimensionality of objects around e.g. light a car from behind to give it
a 3d feel
- Use a small light if needed to create catch lights in the eyes of the subject if other lights do not
provide catch lights.
- One technique is to underexpose the background and thus bring attention to the subject. In
order to do this, small aperture is needed but that then makes everything sharp which is
often not desired (soft background is better for portraiture). To solve this, use ND filter.
