Training Kit will assist your practice in meeting and sustaining conformance with Standard #3
of the Office of Minority Healths National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate
Services (CLAS) in Health Care, which states, Health care organizations should ensure that
staff at all levels and across all disciplines receive ongoing education and training in culturally
and linguistically appropriate service delivery.

To assist organizations in implementing system-level changes to detect, treat and pre-


vent chronic kidney disease, eNewsletters provide the latest national and state infor-
mation. The newsletters also provide additional resources to provide support and as-
sistance in maintaining changes. The newsletters are electronic and easy to read. Find

On-site Education

Academic detailing and staff education are available to organizations regarding CKD
standards of care, including annual micro-albumin testing, prescription of ACEIs and
ARBs, early referral to nephrologists, and to facilitate adoption of system-level changes.
CKD education is designed to help organizations implement system-level changes in
one or more areas (i.e., modification of clinical practices, provision of staff and patient
education, utilization of technical assistance and/or provider developed changes).
